Radu Voican runs this website and is responsible for any personal data it handles. For any privacy question or request, email voican.radu@gmail.com.

What this site does not do

Hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. To deliver pages and protect the site from abuse, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, and your browser may send Cloudflare a short report if a page fails to load. I can't see these logs for individual visitors; Cloudflare keeps them under its own policy. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in running a secure, working website. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

If you email me

I use your email address and message only to reply and, if we work together, to run that work. My mailbox is hosted by Google (Gmail). If we don't end up working together, I delete the conversation within 12 months of our last exchange; if we do, I keep it while we work together and afterwards only as long as tax and accounting rules require. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in replying to you, or steps you ask for before a contract.

If you book a call

The booking calendar is provided by Google and loads only after you click to see available times. When it loads, Google receives your IP address and browser details and may set cookies; if you're signed in to Google, Google may link this to your account. Google then processes what you enter (such as your name and email) under Google's privacy policy. I receive the booking in my Google Calendar, and the call takes place on Google Meet. I use these details only to hold the call and delete them within 12 months unless we start working together. The legal basis is steps you ask for before a possible contract. Loading the calendar is your choice: you can always book by email instead.

Project demos

The demos on the projects page run entirely in your browser. Anything you enter stays on your own device, in your browser's storage, and is never sent to me. Clearing your browser data removes it. If you use an "add to calendar" link inside a demo, it opens Google or Microsoft and passes the reminder details in the link, including any name, amount and notes you entered. Use it only with details you're happy to share with that provider.

Links to other sites

Links to LinkedIn and other sites open services with their own privacy policies.

Transfers outside Europe

Cloudflare and Google are US companies and may process data outside the European Economic Area. Both are certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and also rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, or to receive a copy. Email me and I'll respond within one month (for complex requests I may extend this by up to two months and will tell you why). You don't have to give me any personal data; without an email address I just can't reply. I make no automated decisions about you. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live or work.
